Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's [son], to betray him; Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. And many believed on him there.


Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened? As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you [of] heavenly things? Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. And one of them, [named] Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Judas then, having received a band [of men] and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was. The first [day] of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews. Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.
