Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. Jesus saith unto them, Come [and] dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this [man] hath done? For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was? (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
