And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus. After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is [the sea] of Tiberias. When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha. And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury. When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.
Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead. Therefore they gathered [them] together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither? Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus. And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst. That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.
These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. And he that saw [it] bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? (It was [that] Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
Then they took away the stone [from the place] where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up [his] eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.
Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?
But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
This he said, signifying what death he should die.
Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also [one] of his disciples? He denied [it], and said, I am not.
And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.
And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put [it] on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.
After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he [himself].
When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.
A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard [him] ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
