And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? When Jesus heard [that], he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said. Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was? (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
