| It’s been getting responsive around here.
The last few months have been a whirlwind of creativity here at CoffeeCup. We want to recap the end of this year by talking a bit about the state of the industry and the ground we’re breaking in responsive web design.
Pay close attention: The prices of all products in our store (including all responsive products below) are going up and down because the Price Randomizer is on. :)
Our heavy R&D into responsive design software started back in the Summer. We then released these responsive themes in the Fall to get the conversation going… more about the upcoming apps soon! Now you can have a design that adapts to look perfect on every size of screen—and you don’t even have to do the hard work! These magical themes work with any code editor, but they’re especially grand with the CoffeeCup editors.
 
Responsive design is the future of the ’Net. Because there are so many devices, big and small, PC to phone, it’s hard for a static web design to look good everywhere. Responsive themes detect the size of the viewer’s screen and adjust accordingly.

Of course, that was just the beginning. Next on our list was an update to Web Form Builder to make it create responsive forms (and the crowd goes wiiiild…) Own the first app in the world to make responsive forms.

We took it a step further and made responsive photo albums. This massive update to our S-Drive Albums service resulted in hundreds of cool, silly, and stunning albums being shared with us. It’s finally here: The huge update to S-Drive Albums!
We took this one back to the lab and revamped it to turn it into the ultimate customizable photo gallery machine. Made from HTML5 and fully responsive, these albums are guaranteed to look perfect on every screen.

And when it’s ready for the world, you can post straight to Twitter or Facebook, link anyone to it with a slick URL, or embed the Album in another page. And if that page is responsive, your gallery will be too. Hecks yeah!

Remember that incident with random low and high prices? Well, guess what… This time, we flipped the Price Randomizer on purpose.
A few weeks ago the police were called to our office because our alarm was going off. Later, we discovered that someone must have flipped the price randomizer switch, because prices all over the website were going totally bonkers!
This time, we’re being brave and flipping the switch on purpose for one day.
Among the crazy prices we saw last time: - Books for $1.99

Prices are going up and down constantly. If you see something you like at a low price, we suggest you get it quickly—it could go up 20 seconds later!

Fun fact: This year the CoffeeCup staff went through 847 cans of Coke, 3,482 cans of Red Bull, and 241 bags of coffee. Oh, and we had 7 beers… yesterday.

Making responsive sites, forms, galleries, and emails might sound like hard work. But the payoff is completely worth it when you think about the better experience your visitors will have and the increase in your search result ranking. But how to pull it of?
The truth of the matter is, right now you need to heavily rely on hand-coding. The web is full of responsive testers, resizers, books, themes, frameworks, and blog posts. But there’s nothing out there that actually does it all for you.
Our web form software and photo albums are the exception. They’re currently the only tools that allow you to customize a responsive website component without coding. A framework, for example, will give you a code base to start with, but it will require some serious coding to mold it into a website. Themes make it a little easier, but they are also a bit less flexible.
So we’re hard at work building the tools to do just that. For anyone who uses visual site builders, or codes by hand, or uses a content management system, our tools and guides will be right up your alley. Not only will we make it a breeze (like always) but we’ll make it fun, too (really!)
