We Can Do Hard Things

We can do hard things.

I didn’t completely believe this saying a few days ago when I flew home to Hawaii with an almost 2 year old, by myself. Three  flights, hours of layover, and one stressed out mama. You see, our flights to Utah didn’t go very well. And knowing that I would have to repeat the same stressful day to return home had me on edge. I didn’t know if I could handle such a hard task, but there was no avoiding it. All I could do was pray and hope for the best.

And I was proved wrong. We can do hard things.

Sophie and I were blessed with nice, helpful airline workers and passengers. People helping me with my suitcase and switching seats so that Sophie could have an extra chair to play on. The acts of kindness went on all day. So much so that I cried, not because I was stressed but because I was overwhelmed with niceness.

My new favorite quote…. “We Can Do Hard Things“

No matter what the task, it can be done!
