LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said Pakistan is witnessing
the worst flooding in the history of Pakistan, which wrought massive
havoc in the country, Geo News reported Saturday.

He said this
while talking to a delegation of United Nations headed by UN resident
coordinator in Pakistan Onder Ucer at Chief Minister House here.

He
thanked the world body for extending aid to the people of Pakistan
affected by the most ravaging flooding in the history of the country.

The meeting mulled over relief activities underway in the affected areas under the UN auspices.

The CM said government of Punjab is tapping into all resources for the relief and rehabilitation of the flood-devastated areas.

Sharif said the farmers would be provided with free of cost seeds and fertilizers.

The
UN official said the UN has decided to extend the program for relief
activities in the affected areas to three to six months.
