ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, July 17 (UPI) -- Pakistan's prime minister said Saturday a scandal over bogus university degrees in parliament won't force mid-term elections.
Speaking to reporters in Kasur, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said the issue had not destabilized the government and elections would remain on a schedule dictated by Pakistan's Constitution.
Gilani, in fact, said there was no chance of early elections, Pakistan's Dawn News reported.
